Dominica: 1
the view from what should've been our cottage on night 1
Day one: arrive at Melville Hall Airport, Dominica at 3p.
pick up rental jeep.
drive to the opposite end of the island,
on the left side of the roadup and down mountains
on lanes of roads big enough for a car and a half.
arrive at cottage,
no one is there with our key.
awesome.
we drive around, kind of lost and freaking out.
note: driving around consists of this above stretch of road
as we are at the bottom of the island.
Roseau, the capital, is up and over one of the mountains
in the background.and it's getting dark.
so! we pick up a hitchiker (5th one of the day)
and give him our storyhe gets us a room at his "auntie's" place.
auntie being some random citizen of Soufriere.
it was definitely a place to stay but not relaxing and we were totally nervewracked.
